The SCA 95 Girls, coached by Vinnie Cortezzo, attended the Northern California Spring Showcase Soccer tournament in Redwood City on March 3 and 4, 2012 to showcase their skills to college coaches from all over the United States. They finished the tournament in 5 th place out of 10, with 2 wins, 1 tie, and 1 loss to the number one team in Northern California, Lamorinda, in a close 2-1 game. In the first game against Lamorinda, Rachel Gugel scored on a pass from Theresa Mateo. In the second game, SCA defeated Rogue Valley from Oregon 2-0, with both goals scored by Theresa Mateo, assists by Taylor Halstenson and Mariah Meuse. The girls also won their third game against Ajax of Modesto 2-1, with both goals by Taylor and Assists by Mariah and Nadine Bradley. The final game on Sunday was a hard-fought tie with the only goal on a free kick by Rachel. The girls on the team this weekend were Alicia Angotti, Nadine Bradley, Kelsey Borders, Natalie Bunch, Dayna Dolcini, Emily Donica, Rachel Gugel, Taylor Halstenson, Jules Lieb, Theresa Mateo, Mariah Meuse, and Morgan Jernigan.
