SCA 99 Girls Black Finish Second in NorCal State Cup!
The SCA 99 Girls Black Team, coached by Lee Summerscales, finished their season second in Northern California after they were defeated 4-1 by the number one-seeded DeAnza Force in the NorCal State Cup Championship game on Saturday, January 28 in Woodland. The SCA team had previously defeated the second seeded Mustang Magic and the third seeded Santa Rosa United Ice to reach the championship game. Midfielder Hannah De Voe scored SCA’s only goal with a high, hard kick over the goalie’s head into the left corner of the goal from about 18 yards out just before the end of the first half to make the score 2-1 at halftime. SCA 03 Girls North Claim Norcal State Cup Gold 3 Championship!
The SCA 03 Girls North traveled to Manteca on November 19th for the Norcal State Cup semifinals. They soundly defeated Benecia Arsenal 2-0. The next day they faced the FCA Sparks in the Championship game and won 2-1! SCA 02 Girls North Norcal State Cup Silver 3 Champions!
After making it through the Norcal State Cup quarterfinals on November 5 and 6, and then defeating Sac United Extreme 2-0 in the semifinals on November 19, the SCA 02 Girls North took on the Inter Rage Magic in the Championship game in Manteca on November 20. SCA defeated Inter Rage 1-0 in a very close, very intense game. 2 Champions, 2 Finalists and 1 Semi-Finalist in Norcal State Cup Competition!
SCA was well represented in the U9-U10 Norcal State Cup competition with 5 teams. The competition which started with the first round in September, ended the weekend of November 19th and 20th in Manteca.

SCA 03 Boys Take 3rd Place at SSU Harvest Cup!
The SCA 03 Boys, coached by Mike Manno, took 3rd place in the U9 division of the Sonoma State University Harvest Cup Soccer Tournament on September 24 and 25. The boys played exceptional and showed that all of the hard work in the weekly trainings pays off at tournaments. Congratulations to Coach Mike and the boys of "Manno’s Minions": Hugo, Brandon, William, Koko, Alex, Parker, A.J., James, Aiden Gianlucca and Nikko.
SCA 98 Girls Sonoma County Classic Champions!
The SCA 98 Girls, coached by Noah Parker, took home first place trophies from the Sonoma County Classic Soccer tournament Labor Day Weekend. They tied their first game against Castro Valley United, and then went on to defeat Peninsula Power 4-1, and Heritage Dynamite 1-0. Having earned first place in their bracket, they moved on to the finals to play the Alliance FC Devils. The game was tied in regulation time and SCA won 3-2 in pk’s. Goalie Vickie Espinoza stopped 2 of the opponents pk’s! Congratulations to Coach Parker and the girls!
SCA 97 Girls Compete with Best at Surf Cup XXXI!
On the weekend of July 23-25, the SCA 97 Girls, coached by Chris Ziemer, travelled to San Diego, to compete with the very best teams in the nation at the 31st annual Surf Cup. Out of a strong field of 16 teams, the 97 girls had an impressive showing and advanced undefeated to the quarterfinals. In group qualifying games, they defeated Socal State Cup semifinalists, Slammers 1-0 with a goal by Monica Furne. They tied San Diego Surf White 1-1 (Shelby Evenich scored on a penalty kick) and then tied Washington State finalists Eastside FC 0-0 to advance. Their only loss was to So Cal Blues Dodge, ranked #8 nationally. Coach Ziemer was impressed with his team this weekend, "Competing at Surf Cup is always exciting because it provides the chance to compete at an amazing facility as well as against the top teams in the US.” Read on…

SCA 94 Girls Davis Legacy Showcase Semi-Finalists
On July 10, the SCA 94 Girls, coached by Mark Carr, made it to the semi-finals of the Davis Legacy College Showcase. Earlier in the weekend, they lost to a strong East Fresno team, and then defeated Hayward Chaos 2-1, El Dorado 2-0, and Ajax United 3-1. They faced Davis Legacy in the semi-finals. Congratulation to the girls for such a strong showing in the tournament! The players on the team are: Samantha Acevedo, Lydia Aguilar, Nicole Beecham, Kylie Friedlander, Michelle Garrone, Lyndsay Gehring, Rika Goto, Aubrey Hagens, Phoebe Hendry, Caley Johnson, Noelle Laprevotte, Ali Olea, Hannah Roberts, Jenny Saxton, Emily Wilber, Jennifer Yakuta, and Rebecca Yim.
SCA 95 Girls Semi-Finalists at Davis Legacy College Showcase
On July 8 thru 10 the SCA 95 Girls, coached by Vinnie Cortezzo, travelled to Davis California to bring home a third place medal at the Davis Legacy College Showcase. SCA defeated 3 teams in group play and lost only to Davis in the semi-finals. 4 goals were scored in the first game against Elk Grove by Cierra Irabarne (2), Selena Caruso, and Jules Lieb. In the 2nd game Taylor Halstenson scored the winning goal against Cal Blues Fury. In the 3rd game against Ajax, Emily Donica scored 2 goals, then Tee Mateo, and Maddie Goertzen. Good job to all the girls: Alicia Angotti, Kelsey Borders, Natalie Bunch, Selena Caruso, Dayna Dolcini, Emily Donica, Gabby George, Maddie Goertzen, Rachel Gugel, Taylor Halstenson, Cierra Iribarne, Jules Lieb, Tee Mateo, Mariah Meuse, and Jenna Nagle.
