The Nor Cal State Cup is a very unique event which guarantees that every team gets at least 7 games over a 3 month period. The first round games are to help rank the teams to insure that teams play against even level competition. The second round teams are placed into groups of 24 based on their team ranking and at the end of the 3 games, teams are re-ranked and put into a group of 8 and play a quarter – final elimination game.
Both Andrew Ziemer (SCA Director of Youth Education) Vinnie Cortezzo (SCA Assistant Director and Academy Director) are very proud of all the SCA teams. “We would like to thank all of the coaches, players and parents for supporting the SCAVision on player development. SCA has a unique way of playing, which is attacking, ball possession soccer and the U9 and U10 age groups are key years in developing the base for future success. Even in the games that we did not win, SCA won in development by staying true to our long term development of players and way of playing, states Andrew Ziemer”.
