SCA Fall Survey for the 05-06 Season
Wednesday, 02 November 2005
Thanks to all of you who participated in the survey last month.  We have tabulated the results and would like to report that overall most parents are feeling good about SCA.  SCA received a higher overall rating than last year. On a scale of 1 to 5, the final overall “health” score was 3.69 (Good): higher than last year’s score of 3.32.

On the question regarding the overall value of the fee: the overall rating also improved from 2.78 (Fair) last year to 3.25 (Good) this year.   Out of a player pool of 340, 155 responses were submitted, which is 46% of the club.  We would like to thank the following teams who had a 50% or better response rate: 97 Girls, 96 Girls, 95 Boys, 95 Girls, 94 Boys, 94 Boys White, 94 Girls, and 94 Girls White, 92 Girls, and 90 Girls White.  Other survey results are as follows:

  • In the area of communication, the overall rating was 3.49.  For the question, “How do you rate the quality of communication within your team,” the score was even higher: 3.91.
  • The section on the Academy, which applied only to the 96 and 97 boys and girls teams, ratings were very high with an overall score of 3.94.
  • Very high ratings were also given to the coaches.  The overall ratings for the coaches averaged 3.99, with 13 teams rating their coaches 4.0 or higher.
  • The Team/Player section, with questions regarding the player’s experience with the team, NorCal, Hoek Experience, training days, tournaments and with the team’s parents, had an overall rating of 3.61. One area that did not rate as high as we’d like is the Fall NorCal Experience.  This received an overall rating of 2.99

While we are very pleased with the relatively high average ratings, SCA is aware of a few teams who gave much lower ratings to various aspects of the club’s operations.  The purpose of this survey is to look at those results and take action where it is needed.  SCA as a club is a work in progress and we want to be as successful as we can to provide high quality soccer to your children.  Thank you once again for your participation in the Fall Survey.
