Recently SCA announced that Rohnert Park Soccer League (RPSL) would not
renew the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between RPSL and Petaluma Youth
Soccer League (PYSL). As a result many parents have
questions regarding how this will impact SCA next year. This FAQ should
help in addressing many of your questions. If you have a question not

). 1. Will SCA be dissolved? No! The Sonoma County Alliance Club will continue to provide a competitive Division 1 soccer program for boys and girls from U-9-U-19 age groups. 2. Will SCA only reach out only to Petaluma players? No. SCA is one of the top soccer clubs in Northern California. The Club is dedicated to player development and will continue to welcome players from throughout our neighboring communities. 3.Will SCA continue to have a relationship with SSU? Yes, SCA has benefited from the relationship with the use of fields, facilities and personnel. 4. Who will be the Club Director? Josh Sterling will continue to represent SCA as our Director of Coaching. 5. Will practices be held solely in Petaluma or will SSU and Rohnert Park fields be used? Our SCA teams will continue to practice in Petaluma, Rohnert Park and SSU. 6. Does the Petaluma Youth Soccer League support the Division 1 Program? SCA is excited to have a League, which is highly supportive. There has been a consistent and cooperative relationship between SCA and the Petaluma United Division 3 Club. Board Members working together and sharing a vision for our players to develop and compete at all levels. 7. Will the Rohnert Park Soccer League form Division 1 teams? The RPSL President has communicated that there are no plans to form Division 1 teams. 8. Will the name SCA be retained? Yes! 9. Will the SCA uniform or colors be changed? No. 10. Will SCA continue to hold its election to Board positions for next season? Yes, the elections will be held in the month of December, ' 05 conducted on our SCA Web site. |
