The SCA 98 Girls proved to be number one in the platinum division this weekend for NorCal State Cup finals.  After defeating the Livermore Crush in the quarterfinals 2-1, on December 5^th, and Pleasanton Rage in a pk shootout in the semifinals on December 6^th, the 98 Girls moved to the finals on December 20^th.   They played Davis Legacy and won 2-1!  Outstanding performance by our forwards these past few weeks were Riley Michaels, Tatia Dumbadse, Kayla Ryan, Paige Spradlin, and Destiny Grayer.  The midfielders, Kathleen Mateo, Hailey Iribarne, Misty Martinez, Eden Brooker and Payton Devore, had a strong performance.  The awesome defense included Amanda Donohoe, Tea Lopes, Michaela DeMartini, Stephanie Mitchell, Lexi Martinez, and Jenae Anderson.  Our goalie, Goalie Vickie Espinoza, had three fantastic games.  Coach Trevor White told the parents that the girls played their best game in the finals and he is very proud of this accomplishment.  One more tournament on January 9^th and 10^th in Modesto and the girls will wrap up their season..
