Player Development Academy (PDA)

Mission Statement

To create a fun and exciting environment that will motivate players to develop their technical ability and passion for soccer

To strive to develop our youngest players to ensure a strong foundation for their future in soccer and life

Philosophy

Our PDA program will focus on player development. We evaluate player development in four categories. These categories include Technique (skill), Insight (tactics), Personality and Athleticism. We feel Technique and Personality are the most important areas to develop in young competitive soccer players. This allows a player to create a strong foundation for the rest of their soccer career.

In order to achieve our goals of overall player development we will measure our success on player and team improvement, not solely on winning. Although we desire and strive for successful results we will not do so at the expense of team and player development.

We believe an Academy style is the best way for our U9-U11 players to become successful in soccer. Players will meet two days a week and the PDA staff will run training in a camp style format. This format creates an exciting learning environment where players can thrive. This creates uniform instruction and unbelievable energy.

Staff

The PDA staff from top to bottom is full of soccer energy and knowledge. The Academy is the future of soccer for SCA, PYSL and RPSL. To ensure our players the best opportunity for success we have put many of our top coaches on the PDA staff.

  • All teams will have a full-time coach, but may be coached by various staff members.
