The SCA 95 Girls completed the first round of Norcal Spring League with a 2-2-2 record, which puts them in 2nd place. Having lost their first game against SR United 5-0 on April 13th, they came back the following weekend to defeat The Firebrands 5-1 and to tie the Mavericks 1-1. Alicia Angotti led the scoring with 2 goals against the Firebrands and one against the Mavericks. Other goals were scored by Natalie Bunch with 2, Selena Caruso, and Theresa Mateo. Then on April 26th, SCA played Santa Rosa United again and this time tied 2-2. Goals were scored by Theresa and Jenny Saxton. The final 2 games ended with a 4-1 loss to the Firebrands and a 2-1 win against the Mavericks. Selena, Cierra Iribarne, and Rachel Gugel scored the goals. This should be an exciting season for the girls who are coached by Trisha Ziemer. Players on the team include the forwards, Natalie Bunch, Theresa Mateo, Alicia Angotti, Rachel Gugel and Jenny Saxton. Midfielders are Aimee Guy, Selena Caruso, Cierra Iribarne, Dayna Dolcini, and Mariah Meuse. Defenders are Kelsey Borders, Taylor Halstenson, Maddie Goertzen, Ashley Moffett, Gabby George, and Jene Palmer. Our goalie is Morgan Jernigan.
