SCA announces Gabe Rood as SCA North Academy Technical Director |

Sonoma County Alliance (SCA) is proud and excited to announced Gabe Rood as SCA North Academy Technical Director. Gabe will help train the players and coaches while running sessions, evaluating and watching games. Gabe currently is the western regional manager for US Club Soccer. His role with US Club Soccer gives him insight into the structure of leagues, clubs, and teams across the country. Prior to this season Gabe has held positioning in SCA such as SCA Boys Academy Director, Skills Coach and Coach. Gabe stated “I speak with many of the top clubs coaches in the country every day. It’s great to learn what these clubs are doing and to see if these ideas are possible in the SCA philosophy and vision.” In his role with US Club Soccer he also participates with US Club Soccer’s id2 program. For the last two years he has worked with the id2 program to identify and develop the country’s top players for inclusion in US Soccer’s youth national team programs. Gabe is also the director of Nor Cal Premier’s Player Development Program (PDP). Gabe graduated with a finance degree from University of San Francisco. He has traveled for the last 3 years to Europe, Mexico, and South America to study under some of the top clubs and coaches. He has had a chance to study and work with top coaches from PSV, Ajax, Feyenoord, Tottenham, Chivas Guadaljara, Chivas USA, Vicenza, Padova, FC Porto, and many smaller clubs across Holland, Belgium, Germany, and England
