Josh Sterling – DOC:
- U9 – starting 5v5 this weekend – teams are playing in NorCal Premier not regular district play
- U10 – Playing 8v8 in NorCal Premier not CYSA. Most clubs have pulled out of CYSA in the academy age brackets. Playing in NorCal allows others (Athletico, Solano, etc) participate in an 8v8 league.
- Mustang Tournament U9’s & U10’s – there were issues with 1st team selections and some players not chosen to play. DOC wants to clarify that just because players weren’t chosen for Mustang does not mean they won’t make an SCA team next season or that they are bad players. In this age group some players have dramatic skill changes in a 6 month time period.
- U11-U14 –:
-- District 5 started -
-- Check both spreadsheets – there are a lot of errors.
-- Work with Darrell on fields for NorCal games
- Olders:
-- On high school break – DOC encourages younger players to go out and watch and support the high school players.
-- Olders reconvene in November
-- High School Academy starting approximately the beginning of November – 2 days a week during high school playoffs. Girls run by Josh. Boys run by Andrew. Participating will help players get ready for Thanksgiving tournaments
-- Vinnie’s U16’s received an early acceptance to Surf Cup – only 2 SCA teams have ever attended Surf Cup.
-- Play at Home – it’s very important to play at home
-- College Night – 9/17/07 @ 6:00 – 8th graders and older should come and listen on ways to get into college and play soccer in college.
-- Sonoma County Classic – awesome event. Overall SCA teams did exceptionally well. Great job by the committee
-- SSU Soccer – Encourage your players to watch SSU games. SCA players with SCA apparel on get in free.
-- Fall Program – rec league fall program just finished up. Run by Andrew Ziemer.
-- Street Soccer – new dates just announced. Street Soccer has now been opened up to Petaluma United players in hope of getting a larger group of players out on the field.
-- Coach’s Performance Evaluations – DOC and Andrew Ziemer to meet with each coach for evaluations. DOC to make calls to a few families on each team to get their input on coaches.
Tony Behen – Club Coordinator:
- Sonoma County Classic:
-- Area referees came through for tournament – thank you !!
-- We turned away 20 teams after the deadline for tournament. 70 teams participated – there could have easily been 90 teams. We lack field space which caused the cap on teams.
-- Great job by Budd & Jackie Shirley the tournament coordinators. They do not have a player currently in SCA. There daughter is in college in San Diego. They did an excellent job.
-- We got huge compliments about check in – very nice and well organized.
- Club Survey to be released early next week – participation is very important. This is a test of how we are doing as a club. The results shape the boards’ focus for next year.
- SCA Site – check out Andrew Ziemer’s blogs – he’s currently an intern for the Polish National team. It’s very entertaining.
- Watch the Women’s World Cup – great soccer
- The following teams need to post rosters on the website – 96B, 92B, 91B, 90B, 96G and 94G’.

ODP is a great opportunity but is also very expensive. Mitchell stated that both players are a great asset to their team and are succeeding in the club.
a. Ortega made a motion to grant both players a $500 grant as stated in the letter sent by Mitchell. Seconded by Evenich. Motion carried.
2. Medical Kits:
