SCA 95 Girls Take 2nd Place at Sonoma County Classic |

The SCA 95 girls, coached by Trevor White, defeated 3 teams to make it the finals of the Sonoma County Classic Soccer tournament on September 1st and 2nd. Their first game was a 2-0 win against the MCFC Gale Force. Dayna Dolcini had a goal with an assist by Theresa Mateo, and Emily Conroy scored on a penalty kick. The second game was a 3-0 win against the Walnut Creek Twisterz. Natalie Bunch scored, with an assist by Theresa, Taylor Halstenson scored, with an assist by Aimee Guy, and Theresa scored. Then SCA defeated the Dublin Fighters 2-1, with both goals scored by Natalie (one assist by Theresa) to win their bracket. In the finals they played Central Marin and lost 1-0. This is the second year in a row the girls took 2nd place in the Sonoma County Classic. The girl’s played great soccer this weekend with a strong defense that only gave up 2 goals in 4 games. This year’s team includes Gabby George, Natalie Bunch, Rachel Gugel, Aimee Guy, Jenny Saxton, Mariah Meuse, Cierra Iribarne, Ashley Moffett, Jene Palmer, Alicia Angotti, Morgan Jernigan, Kelsey Borders, Kirby Franklin, Theresa Mateo, Taylor Halstenson, Dayna Dolcini, and Emily Conroy.
