| SCA 93 GIRLS TAKE 1st PLACE AT SACRAMENTO UNITED SUNTAN CLASSIC |
| Thursday, 23 August 2007 | |
| On August 11th and 12th the SCA 93 Girls, coached by Trevor White, took first place at the Sac United Suntan Classic. On Saturday the girls played the Stockton Jaguars for their first game and won 2-0 with both goals scored by Taylor Derby. Their second game against Benicia Arsenal was another victory for SCA with a score of 2-0. On Sunday the girls came out fired up and ready for another win but this game ended in a disappointing 0-0 tie for the girls as they had plenty of shots at goal. Two wins and the tie took the girls into the finals against Sac United Extreme. SCA won 3-1 to win the Championship. All three goals were scored by Margie Osmundson. The girls have been playing extremely well this summer and have made it into the finals at their last 4 tournaments with 2 first place and 2 second place titles. Congratulations to Trevor and his team! |
