SCA 90 Girls Take 2nd Place at Pleasanton Rage Showcase |

 On July 28th and 29th, the SCA 90 Girls, coached by Josh Sterling, took 2nd place out of 8 teams in the Gold Division of the Pleasanton Rage College Showcase. It was the 2nd time in two weeks that this team placed in a major tournament. Their first game was a disappointing 4-1 loss to Eastside FC. They rebounded with 3 shutouts. The first shutout was a 5-0 win against Crescenta Valley SC. Sarah Semenero scored 2 goals, assisted by DJ Garcia and Sarah Stephenson. Other goals were scored by Christine Kearney, Alyssa Benjamin, and Shelby Stambaugh with an assist by Rebecca Mateo. In the 3rd game, SCA defeated Dosveedanya 1-0. Goal scored by Daniella Kozar on a corner kick from Christine. The final game was a 3-0 win for SCA against Notts Forest with 2 goals scored by Shelby Stambaugh with assists from Christine Kearney and Emily Schuster and Daniella scored on a pk after Rebecca Mateo was fouled by the goalie in the box. It was a great weekend for the team. The team consists of defenders, Kiera Woerner, Megan Kendall, Daniella Kozar, and Colleen McNamee; midfielders are Alyssa Benjamin, Christine Kearney, Cleo Chappell, DJ Garcia, Gaby Witte, and Sarah Semenero; forwards include Alyssa Banaugh, Shelby Stambaugh, Hannah Lane, Rebecca Mateo, Sarah Stephenson, and Emily Schuster and our goalie is Adrienne Goguen.
