SCA Board Minutes - May 10, 2004

Members Present-Robb Hunt, Stephanie Derby, Terry Catton, Josh Sterling, Budd Shirley, Danny Ortega, Cathy West, Karen Turner, Eileen Mateo, Cindy Guy, Rick Mitchell, Jim Gilles, Tracie Hankerson

Player Assistance-The committee will be meeting in the next week to determine the need in SCA and disperse funds available. There is a concern that the need is far greater than the funds available. Fundraising ideas will be made to teams to help families in need.

Registration- 1st round of US Club Soccer player passes are finished and dispersed to the teams. Most teams are registered for CYSA in RP and Petaluma.

Treasurer- Two meetings have been held, Cathy still needs to contact a few team treasurers and get them started. All returning teams are in the black. Dist.V fees have been paid.

·      Cathy made a request to have some checks pre-signed due to the increased number of teams and check request coming in.

·      Terry motioned to have a second signature on up to eighteen checks at a time, Tracie 2nd motion carried

·      Cathy made a motion to upgrade the SCA account to a business account to avoid fees, Terry 2nd motion carried.

·      Cathy made a motion for coaches to turn a incurred expense request two months before end of season so team treasures can insure monies available, Bud 2nd motion carried

DOC Report- Academy is looking awesome, classs III will start in June.

Nor- Cal Premiere League has been a big learning curve, thanks to all the managers that have been patient and helping this program get started. SCA teams have been offered to participate in a HOEK Camp. U15 B&G, U17 G, U18 B&G going to Idaho in June. Goal keeping training is in discussion with three different trainers and will be finalized next month.

SCA forms and Documents- Gary presented a Club evaluation form if anyone has any changes get them to Gary. Eileen will be in charge of dispersing the evaluation and collecting the data then report back to the board.

Manager Coordinator- Teams need to have their team officers to Budd ASAP. Teams need to have a Team Rep at SCA board meetings on the 2nd Monday of the month or the team will be fined $25.00 the fine will be placed in player assistance fund.

Uniforms- Training shirts are available along with Nor-Cal Premiere uniform shirts; their uniform. Uniform rep can contact Stephanie to pick up shirts. Team Uniform Reps need to collect monies from players who still need to pay for their uniform.
