1. Call to Order: 6:10 p.m. by Chairman Behen. Present: Pete Hulsman, Josh Sterling, David Rabbitt, Terry Catton, Danny Ortega, Becky Evenich, Katya Anderson, Karla Woerner, Staci Elliott, Andrew Ziemer, Eileen Mateo Open Forum: Parents from the U18 Girls team came to discuss a letter written by the team to the Board and their concerns regarding the 2006 season. Parents present who spoke: Dee Brereton, Rick Brereton, Rick Parmer, Robert Snow. (See Secretary’s notes for discussion). David Rabbitt elected to head committee to work with the parents the DOC and Board to discuss the issues and provide solutions to the Board within two weeks. Other members of the committee, Katya Anderson and Danny Ortega. 2. Minutes: In the last minutes, changes needed to #3 to read: Terry Catton is being removed from the signature card. Rebecca Evenich, Tony Behen, and Anastasia Elliott will be added. Motion: Katya Anderson to approve prior minutes as presented with the one amendment. 2nd Evenich. Dave Rabbitt abstained, all others approved. 4. Treasurers Report: Catton: 89 Girls in arrears. Older teams assured money coming. Young teams all up to date. 96 Boys White - team settled with four players. Money from Nor Cal coming. Will stay in contact with Evenich. Needs a storage system. Terry has 3 boxes of records - Behen can store for her at this time. 5. Old or Unfinished Business i. Information/Registration/Uniform Night: Information Night Tues/Thurs 3/20 and 3/21 at Luchessi. Information Night: will give players/parents registration packets and managers their packets. Communication: Email to current managers. Behen would like a bilingual person to assist in giving information at the meeting and advise on translation on flyers. Recommendations given. Ortega is the contact with Petaluma Recreation Center. If need a room booked, go through him. Anderson: When will we be announcing the Volunteer Fee? Would like to get information out and have parents get credit for what they do. Eileen to send out communication piece. Form will be in packet. Ortega: important Board members come to the meetings to answer questions and identify issues early on. Gina Munroz will be at information night to discuss Script and Community Smart. Behen will present PA information. Uniform/Registration Night: Monday 26th and 27th in the Craft Room at the Rec Center. Behen: Several fee increases this year with US Club and PYSL etc, recommended raise SCA fees $7. Also, Nor Cal increased league fees. Need to adjust our fees to cover $50 additional/team. Anderson: Motion to allow $7 increase. Hulsman 2nd. Vote: unanimous. Discussion regarding payment at registration in relation to how payments made the previous season. Motion: Change structure of payment to: one check to SCA, one check to PYSL and one check to Volunteer Fee at registration. 2nd Anderson, vote: unanimous. ii. DOC Contract: Dave Derby is the new chairman of the committee. The committee will be meeting tomorrow. v. Club Brochure: Ortega talking to Molly. She now has the printed information, photos, etc. Need to know if adding Emeritus Board? iii. Bylaws waiting for DOC contract to be completed before completing bi-laws iv. Booster Update - Rabbitt sending letters out 2nd time and will follow up. Needs time line to get information on shirts. vi. Academy kits - Club purchased inventory of jerseys. At the end of the season, players will return. Kids get socks, shorts themselves. Discussion concerning the cost of purchasing the jerseys. Motion: To include in the Academy cost a rental fee for the U8, U9, U10 jerseys into their registration fees at $10 each. 2nd , vote unanimous. vii. Budget Discussion concerning building a reserve amount into the budget which is kept from year to year. Sterling: Hoek suggesting that all kids who participate get a t-shirt ix. Player Assistance Motion: Rabbitt to approve Player Assistance proposal as presented. 2nd Anderson, vote: unanimous. 6. Other Items iii. Barn Dance: Date: 9/22/07 at Hermanson’s Hall.
