Monday, 28 March 2005

The meeting was called to order by Danny Ortega at 6:30 p.m.

FIREWORKS BOOTH: Kathy Ferrari presented information on the fireworks booth to be opened in Rohnert Park at Roger Wilco in July 2005. City permits to complete and pay for include: $100- Fire Dept. and $50 – City of Rohnert Pk. Roger Wilco will sign paperwork on 3/30/05, to hold booth sales in their lot. All paperwork must be completed as “Rohnert Park Soccer Division I.” Kathy will open a checking account for this event. She will also compose and send a letter to Player Assistance players who will be required to work on July 4th – a day reserved for these players to earn money for their account. Liability issues must be clearly conveyed to parents working booth: NO CHILDREN under age 18 in booth; workers must stay off the berm; reduce the number of signs for booth sale.

TEAM 94/U12B: Team has made a request for sponsor approval by: Washington Mutual, PG & E, North Bay Construction, Home Seller’s Realty and Ledson Winery. All were approved, AS LISTED, except Ledson Winery, Ledson Winery will be approved if the sponsor’s name is listed as Ledson CONSTRUCTION. If sponsor’s are printed on a tee shirt, they must be ordered through Kim Behen. Sponsor tees will have a smaller SCA logo on the front with sponsors listed on back.

TERRY (REGISTRATION PROCEDURES): Terry reported that $225 has been received for a player whose account was late. A USSF waiver for ages 12-17 proving they entered the country before age 11 is effective immediately. INS card is needed to accompany waiver. Direct the forms to team manager. SCA will pay the $10 processing fee. The following tournaments are now under U.S. Club Soccer instead of CYSA-N: Rage, Ballistic and Mustang.

NOR CAL: Dave is completing online registration forms for SCA’s 17, U10 to 14 teams. Deadline is Monday, 4/4/05. SCA Home Game Days at SSU are being considered, however, SCA wouldn’t be able to hold a concession stand on campus. Corona Creek School is being considered as a possible playing site for youngers. U-11 to U-13 season: mostly Sundays 4/17 to June 9th. U-10s will begin on May 15th with a jamboree. Continue season on June 5, 19 and 26. U-15s – 19s will begin playing May 14th. PYSL website will be used for referee sign-ups. NorCal schedule will not be available until April 8th or 9th. Fall NorCal will be played in December/January just like this past season. Next year it will be moved to fall weekends during regular season play.

TEAM MEETINGS SCHEDULE: Meetings have been held and are scheduled to be held. Danny, Josh, Joni and Tony have been attending these meetings.

UNIFORMS (Kim): Kim has requested that player number issues be worked out by team managers. U12B (Wht) will order Puma jerseys. It was motioned and approved to finance (up to $350) the three Team 97 RETURNING players, who need to purchase Puma jerseys and shorts to match their team. Puma uniform kit is $170, but $160 will be charged this year. Order deadline is April 13th. Kim needs team managers to e-mail to her master player list with player NUMBERS. New players on Player Assistance, on teams who wear Kappa, will be provided jerseys and shorts – they must pay for printing of logo/number and socks. We will keep track of those players receiving these items. $2, 000 in merchandise was sold at first uniform nite. New order will be placed in May.

TRYOUTS (Karen): Next tryouts are April 12th & 13th at Sonoma State University for U-15 to U-18. Players applying for assistance will be given a “letter of expectations.”

PHOTOGRAPHY: Cindy is looking into photographer for team photos – she’ll give us the date(s) when she has them.

FIELDS: Traci reported that the game fields will probably be Corona Creek Elementary, Sonoma Mountain Elementary and Lucchesi field. Timeline for NorCal and Jamboree needed so fields can be secured.
