| SCA 93 Boys win Sacramento United Suntan Classic tournament in PKs |

| The SCA’s 93 Boys White team, coached by Chris “Yato” Carniato, came away with the championship at the 14th annual Suntan Classic in Sacramento on August 12th and 13th. They defeated the Excel Soccer Club 5-0, Sac United Extreme 3-2, and Elk Grove United 4-1. They then faced Sac United Extreme again on Sunday in the Championship game. It was the team's littlest player who produced the biggest goal for SCA in that game. Graham Miller, a 5-foot, 80-pound defender scored the final goal in the second round of penalty kicks. Then SCA goalkeeper Connor Zitelli stopped the final PK by Sacramento United to allow SCA to outlast the host team in a thrilling title game. Zitelli made five saves on 10 penalty shots after shutting out Sacramento United in the 60 minutes of regulation time. Miller, who missed almost two months earlier this year with a broken collarbone, was the last of six SCA players to score on PKs. Nick Sanchez, Ben Tarango, Jesus Melgarejo and Beau Behler tallied goals in the first round of PKs, which ended in a 4-4 tie. Johnny Moon netted SCA's other goal in the second round. On Saturday afternoon, when SCA first defeated Sacramento United 3-2, Sanchez scored all three of his team's goals. Sanchez, the team's center striker, had five goals in SCA's 5-0 tournament-opening victory over Excel Soccer Club on Saturday morning and added three more in SCA's 4-1 triumph over Elk Grove United on Sunday morning. Giovanni Amador also contributed a goal in those two games. Zitelli was spectacular in goal in the win over Elk Grove. Defenders Julian Castro and Tyler Scanlan provided excellent support in front of him throughout the tournament, offensively, SCA also got key contributions from midfielders Jordan Schlau, Jonathan Prince, Austin Halstenson, Sean Kimball and winger Drake Albee.
