SCA Overview
Alliance
A group of people formed to advance towards common goals and interests.
Our Alliance of players, parents, administrators and coaches strive for
the ultimate goal of player, team and club development.
Overview
Sonoma County Alliance (SCA) was established in 2001 for the ages of
U15-U19. It was created by Rohnert Park Soccer League (RPSL) and
Petaluma Youth Soccer League (PYSL) in order to create more stable and
competitive teams in these age groups. During this time Petaluma United
and Rohnert Park Express operated separately in the U10-U14 age groups.
After two years of great success in SCA with the U15-U19 age groups
Petaluma and Rohnert Park have decided to join forces in all age
groups. In 2004 SCA will have U9-U19 teams. Our U9-11 players along
with the Class 3 teams of Rohnert Park and Petaluma will train in our
newly formed Player Development Academy (PDA).
Purpose
SCA was established to give players a positive, stable and unified club
environment where individuals can reach their full potential as a
person and a soccer player.
Mission
To develop youth soccer player's technical, tactical, physical and mental attributes in a positive learning environment.
To promote sportsmanship, discipline, integrity and character development.
To create a cohesive club environment where club spirit and loyalty is
installed in our players, parents, administrators and coaches.
To provide a top level training program which includes competing in local, state, national and/or international competitions.
To create the opportunity for our players to play in High School, ODP, College or at the professional level.
To provide an enjoyable soccer environment for all players, coaches, parents and administrators.
