94 GIRLS NORCAL CUP GOLD DIVISION FINALISTS |

 On Friday February 3rd parents and girls drove all the way to Clovis Fresno to play in the semi-finals and the finals for the Gold Division NorCal Cup. On Saturday in the semi- finals game the girls defeated Boca Juniors 2-0. It was a great game with SCA holding on to a well-earned win and shutout. All the girls played tough and challenged every ball. The girls came out positive and ready to go to take on an always competitive Boca Juniors. Goals scored from Annie (1) Noelle (1) assisted from a nice cross from Grace. On Sunday the girls played in the finals against a fast and physical DVSC team and lost to them 2-1. DVSC came out fast and caught our girls by surprise to take an early first goal. The girls couldn't find their groove and DVSC claimed yet another goal. Trisha pumped the girls up and encouraged them to play hard. Michelle Katuna sent a nice ball in the back of the opponents net assisted from a corner kick from Noelle. The girls fought hard to try and earn the tie but it wasn't to be on that day. Congratulations to Trisha and all the girls for never giving up and always battling to the end. The girls record for victories was at 19 wins before their loss in the NorCal finals. Awesome job Girls and something to be proud of. !!
