SCA Technical Staff and Coaches Announcement 2010 - 2011

SCA Players and Parents,

As tryouts approach, I wanted to get the word out about the SCA Technical Staff and Coaches for the 2010-2011 season.  Sonoma County Alliance is very proud of our program and curriculum and with this group of quality coaches I am confident that we will again advance the SCA players and team forward towards their full potential.  We are privileged to have Frans Hoek, one of the top soccer educators in the world as a part of Sonoma County Alliance.  Frans is a member of the KNVB (Royal Dutch Soccer Federation) and has helped develop a Coach Development and Mentor Program.  With his guidance, we will be implementing a coaching mentor program and rotation system in which all SCA coaches will help each other out by training each others teams at the appropriate times.

McKenna Moy Makes Verbal Commitment to St. Mary’s College

McKenna Moy, currently a player on the SCA 92 Girls, gave a verbal commitment to St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California for the 2010 playing season. St. Mary’s is a Division 1 program in the tough West Coast Conference. “McKenna has worked extremely hard both on the field and within the recruiting process. I am very excited for her,” said Josh Sterling, the coach of the 92 Girls. “It is neat that she will be able to be coached by Kai Edwards, former Casa Grande HS Girls Varsity coach, and a player at Sonoma State when I was Assistant Coach. McKenna is a great kid with a bright future and I am happy she found a good fit,“ added Josh. The SCA 92 Girls team has a few more seniors that should commit over the next few months.
